DANCES OF THE WORLD

[ DOCUMENTARY SERIES 10 X 60' ]

A project that dives into the typical dances of the most stunning countries in the world. Dancers and choreographers from India, Japan, Turkey, Morocco and Spain, among others, present their traditions in locations that go from historical temples to volcanoes, deserts and more. An homage to the love of dance and the world’s most beautiful traditions.

Dances of the World is a 10-episode documentary series, where each hour-long episode focuses on the traditional dances of one exotic country. Offering breathtaking imagery and stunning dance sequences, the series engages audiences with a variety of real stories that explore the love that people in different countries have for their traditions. Dances of the World presents, for example, a whole family of dancers in India, a veteran Flamenco star in Spain and an experimental hawaiian choreographer that dances on a volcano in rituals to the goddess Pele. Renowned dancers from each country make appearances in the series, which visits prestigious dance companies such as the Tokyo National Ballet and Turkey’s Anadolu Atesi.
